Please follow the after care instructions that will be given to you. You will be provided with an after care kit to take home, which will be simply cleaning and using an ointment.

*Wash morning and night for 5 days with gentle cleanser!  Wash within 4 hours of getting brows done.  (Make sure to wash OUTSIDE of shower. Look in the mirror while washing so you can make sure to be EXTRA gentle. Only wipe gently in the direction of hair growth, no circles or hard rubbing. Wash with warm or cool water, and pat dry with clean paper towel.)

*Keep dry (besides washing) until completely healed, (until no flaking left! Usually 10 days.)
—Clients still need to keep dry in the shower... steamy hot showers will cause the pores to open and scabs to soften, so to be cautious, no steamy hot showers!! Avoid the water ESPECIALLY shampoo and conditioner running down.. that’ll cause color discoloration!

(You will be provided with special brow visors to protect the brow area in the shower)
        — no excessive sweating (sweat contains salt, which will “pull” pigment) while the brows are healing.
        — No sauna, hot tub, pool, ocean, etc.

*Do not pick, rub, or scratch scabs! Avoid sleeping on face.

*Avoid direct sun exposure for 2 weeks

*No anti aging or acne products on them ever!! They will cause fading very quickly. This is anything with chemical exfoliants such as Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc.

*ointment up to 3 times daily with fingertip! A half of a rice grain amount is adequate for each brow. If client is oily, 2 times daily. Do not pat the ointment on the brow, it will only sit on top of the brow hair, carefully apply it to the skin of the brow.

Healing Time: Your brows are typically healed on a superficial level within 7-14 days. Your perfecting session will be 6-8 weeks later to allow the skin to completely heal and pigment to settle.

What to Expect: Brows are darker the first day, and may appear darker and the tone will be “warmer” on day 2 -5. This is due to the pigment oxidizing. They will not stay that way, and will lighten during the healing process. As the brows heal and pigment settles in the skin, the color will also heal “cooler.” Slight redness immediately after is normal and in most cases subsides within a few hours.

***Please note: This is so important to remember, by the end of 30 days, brows will shrink and fade, and will be about 30% lighter since initial appointment.

Aftercare: It’s crucial you follow my aftercare instructions, this will minimize scabbing or crusts forming on the brows. I provide an aftercare ointment that helps with pigment retention, hydration, and is also great for minimizing the itch of the healing process!
What to Avoid during the healing process: Anti-Aging (this includes Rodan & Fields), exfoliating products, Anti-Acne, lightening, and brightening skin care products, direct sunlight via tanning and tanning beds, excess sweating from working out,  submerging the tattooed area in water (pools, shower, ocean, hot tubs, etc.), and steam/sauna.
No makeup directly on top of or touching the area for 10 days.
I will go over your aftercare instructions in detail at your appointment and send you home with everything you will need for proper aftercare.

IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS: AVOID sunbathing, light therapies, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasions, creams that contain regeneration factors, ALWAYS avoid lasers over the treated area because they can destroy the pigments and cause burns. Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to a faster pigment fading.

ALWAYS protect the brows from the sun with SPF,(not during the first 7 days.)
