HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT

& HOW TO AVOID EXCESSIVE BLEEDING/POOR COLOR DEPOSIT:

  • Absolutely no anti-acne or anti-aging products (this includes Rodan & Fields) on the skin for 30 days prior to appointment

  • Do not exercise for 24 hours before procedure, as the body heat expands the pores.

  • Please wash hair the day before appointment.

  • Please bring something to hold your hair back away from your forehead (ex; headband)

  • Do not wear hair in any updos in the back of the head or hairstyles that will prevent you from laying down in a stable position.

  • Do not tan 4 weeks prior to appointment or have sunburned skin.

  • Please wax or thread your brows before the appointment, as cleaning up the brows will take away from designated time to map the brows shape.

  • No antibiotics for up to 2 weeks before. (This can effect healing and pigment retention)

  • No caffeine the day of the appointment.

  • No alcohol the night before or the morning of the appointment.

  • No brow tinting 2 weeks before application, waxing or threading is ENCOURAGED up to 4 days beforehand.

  • Do not have any type of facial/chemical peel 2 weeks prior to procedure.

  • No retinoids of any type at a minimum of 3-6 months before the appointment as they thin the skin which will make it prone to tearing.

  • Please discontinue Vitamin A, and/or fish oil supplements 1 month prior to appointment.

  • **IF YOU USE BOTOX, IT SHOULD BE PERFORMED 3 WEEKS AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE.

  • No Accutane for 1 year prior to procedure. You have to be off Accutane for 1 year, no exceptions!

(If you resume the Retin-A or Retinols after the 30 days, please know that the continued use will fade your permanent makeup prematurely.)

  • **Please note: You will be more sensitive if you are a smoker, have fibromyalgia or are on your menstrual cycle (Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the procedure site.)
**For sanitary purposes, if you are sick with an infection you must reschedule your appointment.
**If you have oily skin, textured skin, or large pores, your results WILL appear softer, strokes may heal more blurry and less crisp (eyebrows can look solid) in appearance and may require additional sessions.
**Dark Skin types, please note that your microblading/permanent makeup will NOT appear as bold or crisp as lighter skin types and may heal to a light “makeup” appearance as opposed to crisp strokes (Indian, African American, Filipino, etc.)
**Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless absolutely medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.

**Discontinue supplements/herbs up to 7 days before the appointment (for example; fish oil, garlic. Those can thin the blood)

*You may wear make-up to the appointment, as pictures will be taken prior and after the procedure.
