*DOES MICROBLADING HURT?                                                                                                                                                             Yes, it hurts a little, but so does waxing, tweezing and threading:-)The pain is not unbearable, it is similar to a cat scratch. I also use liquid lidocaine to alleviate the discomfort after the initial hair stroke outline. Topical anesthetic cream is used for numbing before and also during the procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entire procedure. Please note you will be more sensitive if you are a smoker or during your menstrual cycle.

*HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?                                                                                                                                                       Anywhere from 3 to 4 and a half hours. The procedure isn’t started until a shape and design are agreed upon and an outline is drawn on the brows for final approval. Numbing and brow shaping is what consumes a majority of the time. The actual microblading procedure can last from 1-2 hours depending on the intensity, shape and amount of strokes needed during the procedure. Please eat a good breakfast and be prepared for up to 4 hours, depending on how sensitive your skin is. I ask that you turn off your cell phone ringer and put it on vibrate when we begin the procedure, because it can be very distracting.

*I HAD MY BROWS TATTOOED BEFORE, CAN YOU FIX THEM/TOUCH THEM UP?

I DO NOT “TOUCHUP” PREVIOUS ARTIST’S WORK. If I did not do your original 2 sessions, you are considered a new client with new client pricing. (Touchup pricing ONLY applies to current clients.)

I require that anyone who has had their brows tattooed previously by another artist text me a picture BEFORE booking an appointment. This way we can discuss price, your options and schedule sufficient time. Any client coming to me from a different artist is considered a new client, with full prices.

*DOES THE COLOR OR PIGMENT EVER CHANGE?
The pigment is the darkest right after the procedure and will lighten over time. It might even seem overwhelming at first because the color is so bold. Within the first 6 weeks, the true color will slowly show itself. Darker skin types may experience quicker fading, and the final results may be less crisp and more “blended.”

*WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE,  AFTER ALL IS "SAID & DONE"

Color retention and overall results are different for each individual. Factors such as sun exposure, SKIN TYPE, FOLLOWING AFTERCARE, lifestyle and skin tone determine how your brows heal. If you have any of the skin types below - final results can be unpredictable.

OILY SKIN - tends to 'push out' the ink quicker, and may need more frequent touch ups and heal extra powdery/blurry/less definition.

DARKER SKIN -  will have less contrast and may heal even more powdery or solid looking than lighter tones. Olive skin tones tend to heal less crisp and more powdery. The darker the skin tone, the less detail you will see.

MATURE SKIN -  is very fine, delicate and thin.  It tends to  heal more powdery and lines can heal on the thicker side. Results are very unpredictable, so please keep this in mind!

*The final results will not replace makeup- you may still need to use a pencil or powder to create your own unique, desired look. The ultimate goal is to have fuller and more balanced brows.

*Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, it is highly recommended to apply sunscreen directly over the brows to preserve the color.

*Glycolic acid, retinoids, microdermabrasion, and chemical face peel products must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use will blur the pigment and may cause discoloration.

*BE MINDFUL that retinoids and/or chemical peel products have “cellular communication.” This means that it travels through your skin. If you utilize these products, this will be at your own risk and will effect your brow microblading strokes, causing them to blur, ash, and discolor!

*If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Continue at your own discretion. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
